Databases are incredibly useful for storing a variety of information, such as, employee details and catalogues of company products. However, databases are not very exciting to look at. Opus Pro now lets you connect to databases and to show records on pages within your publication:
users can then interact with databases in a more stimulating and creative environment.
for developers, the database feature allows them not only to access information but also to write information to databases within an Opus publication, such as, login ID’s and passwords or the results of tests taken within a publication.
Note:
Opus is not intended to provide a replacement for complex database processing functions but to provide a quick and easy way to create simple interfaces to individual records in a database, such as might be used for a catalogue of products.
