Appearances

On the left hand side of the Properties dialog box are a list of icons. Each icon shows a object state:

Normal means the mouse is not over the object.

Mouse Over means the mouse is currently positioned over the object.

Mouse Pressed means the mouse button is currently pressed down on the object.

Disabled means the actions for the object will not currently play as the object is inactive (i.e. disabled).

By clicking on one of the icons you can change the appearance of an object when it reaches one of the states described above.

Once you click on an icon, the right hand side of the Properties dialog will show the Background, Image, Border and Effects tabs only.

You can now change any option in these tabs and the changes will only appear on the object when the object is in that state. For example, if you change the Image in the Image Tab on the Mouse Over state, then the new image will appear only when the user moves the mouse over the object – when the mouse moves off the object, the Image in the Normal state will re-appear.
