The Copy this file panel is used to enter the pathname of the file you want to copy:

There are a variety of methods for creating the pathname: you can type the full pathname in the box; use the Browse… button to open the Windows Open dialog and search for the file; insert a preset variable with the Insert Variable button (as illustrated above); or type in your own variable name.
