Quick Crop Tool image\ebx_-904103902.jpg

The Quick Crop tool is provided on the Tools toolbar. It allows you to quickly crop an image to show just the portion you are interested in. The tool is ideal for using portions of a larger picture without the need for a paint program.

  1. Once you release the mouse everything outside the area you selected will be deleted.

  2. Use the Undo button to try again if you’re not happy with the cropped area.

Note:
By default the crop toll leaves the Image Object at the original size. Thus if the image is set to Scale to Fit the cropped image will resize to fill that original image object. If you would rather keep the cropped image at it’s original size and resize the image object to that size then hold down the Ctrl key while using the Crop tool.

The cropped image will be saved as a new image in the publication resources so if you need to go back to the original file at a later point you can do so.
