The Opus Video Creator publication type allows a Creator publication to be published to a video file. This output can be used for any purpose; such as part of another Creator publication or to provide clips for inclusion into training videos or promotional material, or for uploading to YouTube or similar services.
The video files produced are in the AVI format using video and audio codecs selected by the author. The AVI format can be converted to other video formats if required and (with a suitable codec) can produce losslessly encoded video suitable for editing into other material.
To help make demonstration type videos Creator also now provides a mouse & keyboard recording facility. This allows the author to record their progress through a publication during a preview and then play that recording back at publish time, thus creating a video of the publication "in use".
Video – It is not currently possible to play from and record to video at the same time, so Video Creator publications cannot include video.
